There are many exciting Sheboygan landmarks that both visitors and locals will enjoy. It’s not hard to find many interesting and enriching things to do in a community like Sheboygan, given its vast historical roots. This city and region traces its history back many centuries to a time when fur trappers were here and to a time when only Native Americans dwelled on this land.

You’ll find many notable Sheboygan, Wisconsin attractions. Some of the main historical landmarks include The Wade House, Wisconsin Maritime Museum and the Franklin Haus.

The Wade House allows visitors to travel back to the time of stagecoach travel. This historical attraction allows you to peek into a world of the blacksmith, sawmill and a time when wagons were drawn by horses.

The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is just one of many popular Sheboygan, WI tourist attractions. This museum is truly a treasure and home to a restored submarine from World War II along with a host of other interesting exhibits.

The Franklin Haus will take you back in time to when Germans first began settling in the Sheboygan region. This is a village hall set in the 1850s. It allows visitors to see how immigrants from Germany lived when they first came here.
